Baked Brie with Berries
1 whole baked brie round or wedge
1 package refrigerated crescent rolls
one pint each raspberries, blueberries, strawberries
2 kiwis
3 tbsp orange marmalade
1/2 lemon
confectioners sugar for dust
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Place parchment paper on a baking sheet. Arrange triangles from the crescents to form a “star” with edges touching in the center. Place brie on center, and pull points of dough triangles together on top of the brie and press them together to form a “knot.” It’s OK if parts of the cheese are uncovered.
Bake until golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.
Remove pastry covered brie to a serving plate. Top with marmalade while still warm and allow it to melt and run down sides.
Arrange kiwi on pastry and around the edges of the plate. Layer sliced strawberries on next and finish with blueberries and raspberries to completely cover the pastry.
Squeeze a little lemon juice over fruit and dust with confectioners sugar. Serve warm or cold.
